Story spoilers
Early movie promotional material called Yayoi Promethium II and presented her as the daughter of the Machine Empire's Queen Promethium, but that concept and the "II" suffix were later dropped. Millennial Queen Promethium/Yayoi was later considered to be the person who would become the Machine Queen, although the Queen Millennia and Maetel-related continuities may be unrelated. In Maetel Legend, Space Symphony Maetel, and Galaxy Express 999, a Promethium portrayed as Maetel and Emeraldas's mother becomes an antagonist after mechanization. In the Queen Millennia Movie, Yayoi/Promethium II opposes Lalela and dies after weakening her. In the Queen Millennia TV series, Promethium/Yayoi is La-Metal's princess and prospective next Queen Millennia who betrays La-Metal for Earth and Hajime and helps save Earth with Selen.
