L Lawliet

L Lawliet is a main character in Death Note and a world-renowned detective who takes on the Kira investigation. He becomes suspicious of Light Yagami and focuses on proving that Light is Kira. Highly secretive, L usually communicates through his assistant Watari and represents himself publicly with a capital letter rather than showing his face.

L is exceptionally analytical and meticulous, constantly questioning what he is told and willing to use deception or drastic methods to solve a case. His disheveled appearance and unusual habits contrast sharply with his powers of deduction.
