Story spoilers
Kyuo returns to Kuruda seeking help to kill the King of the Moon, eventually joining Elle and Gau. Her trap-setting and chulink skills prove decisive when she pins the regenerating beast until sunrise, allowing it to be killed. She then joins Elle's group, later masters the Tomoway style associated with her grandfather, and learns that Iba Stolla is actually Jin's twin brother and her granduncle. Near the end, Kyuo follows the exiled Elle and Gau from the shadows to watch over them.
