Biography
Mibu Kyo, better known as Demon Eyes Kyo and the "Thousand Slayer," is a legendary swordsman recognized by his red, demon-like eyes and fearsome reputation from the Battle of Sekigahara. Bloodthirsty and merciless, he wields Tenro, one of the Four Great Demon Blades, and practices the powerful Mumyou Jinpuu Ryuu Satsujin Ken taught by Muramasa.

Kyo's bloodlust decreases over time, and training with Muramasa helps calm him. He also becomes protective of Yuya. Kyo is the last surviving True Mibu and possesses the True Red Eyes, which allow him to become a Battle God or Demon God. After suppressing his battle lust in that state, he receives the mark and title of Aka no Ou. Muramasa had taken Kyo from the Mibu village to raise him as the clan's hope against the former Aka no Ou. By the end, Kyo is acknowledged as the series' strongest fighter, and a bonus chapter of the manga shows him living together with Yuya.
