Story spoilers
Yoshida keeps this strategy going throughout the long run of Otters 11 and even threatens Hiramaru with losing his connection to Shueisha after the series is canceled. He later misjudges the outcome of Hiramaru's relationship with Aoki, being surprised when she accepts his proposal.
