Biography
Kouichi is Ray's first love. A flashback shows that, while they were being raised on the same farm, he proposed that they escape together. He has been missing since Ray's rescue and later contacts her from an unknown location to request a meeting.
Story spoilers
It is later revealed that Kouichi is a clone of the H Ring Man and has been working for him. Despite despising him, Kouichi complies in order to track down Ray and create a utopia with her by recreating life in the “white room,” while also seeking to restore Ray to her original self. He grows increasingly maniacal. After killing Red Ribbon, Kouichi shoots himself in the head because he believes Ray has died.
