Biography
Kotarou Tennouji is the high-school protagonist of Rewrite. Frivolous and arrogant, he habitually meddles in other people's affairs and is easily pulled into incidents. Early on, much of his attention goes toward trying to revive the school's Occult Club.
Story spoilers
Kotarou suffered brain damage and amnesia in a childhood accident and was saved near death when Kotori implanted one of the Key's ribbons into his shoulder. He can rewrite his own body to gain enhanced strength and senses, while the ribbon gives him a second power called Aurora. The Terra route further reveals that he belonged to Guardian and repeatedly tried to kill Kagari; becoming partly familiar stopped his physical aging, leaving him roughly ten years older than his schoolmates.
