Story spoilers
KOS-MOS awakens prematurely and kills Kevin and most of the development team, leaving Shion Uzuki among the few survivors. Her powerful combat abilities include superhuman strength and speed and a durable, self-repairing body that can reshape parts into ranged and melee weapons. A more human blue-eyed persona later appears with greater power; this is ultimately revealed as KOS-MOS's true personality, Mary Magdalene, the partner of the Messiah.
