Biography
Golden Darkness, often called Yami, is a withdrawn assassin with physical abilities far beyond a normal human's. Nanomachines within her body let her transform body parts into weapons and other forms, though excessive use can harm her. Away from combat, she spends much of her time reading and eating taiyaki.
Story spoilers
Yami is originally hired by Lacospo to kill Rito, but breaks the contract after learning more about him and remains on Earth under the pretext of continuing the assassination. Her creator is later revealed to be Tearju Lunatique, and her given name is Eve. Under Tearju's care she was once bright and cheerful before being left with scientists who raised her as a cold assassin.
