Biography
Koneko Toujou is a 10th-grade student with a quiet, emotionally restrained manner. She is blunt with Issei when he behaves improperly, but shows strong concern for her comrades whenever they are in trouble.
Story spoilers
Koneko was originally a nekomata and nearly faced execution after her sister Kuroka killed her own master. Sirzechs Lucifer protected Koneko and placed her in Rias's care, where she became a Devil and Rook. She initially refuses to use youjutsu for fear of becoming like Kuroka, but later overcomes that fear. By the end of Volume 5, she grows much closer to Issei and gradually develops romantic feelings for him.
