Kokoro Tokunaga is quiet and lonely. Her father remarries and rents her a luxurious apartment, assuming that she can manage independently, but she cannot fend for herself. She understands the time Kippei must devote to caring for Yuzuyu.

Kokoro lost her mother at age six, an experience that helps her sympathize with Yuzuyu. Kokoro is Kippei's soon-to-be girlfriend, and her feelings remain loyal to him.
