Character profile
Kogenta
コゲンタByakko no Kogenta
Biography
Kogenta is Riku Tachibana's shikigami and a member of the Byakko, or White Tiger, family. Cocky, arrogant, and quick to anger, he initially resents being paired with Riku but gradually accepts the partnership and tries to strengthen Riku's character.
Story spoilers
Kogenta becomes the first Shikigami to attain the Daikoujin state, though he considers the power an unfair advantage because he cannot remember the battles fought in that form. In the finale, he willingly allows Riku to terminate their contract, although his spirit appearing over the shrine leaves open the possibility that their bond remains.
