Ken Kaneki

Ken Kaneki begins as an ordinary college student whose encounter with the ghoul Rize changes his life. After a near-fatal attack, he receives transplanted organs from her and develops ghoul traits, including regeneration, a ghoul eye, and an inability to eat normal human food. Struggling between the human and ghoul worlds, he refuses to sustain himself by eating humans and gradually learns that neither side is as simple as he first believed.
