Keita Kawahira is a 17-year-old whom his family considered a failure for treating their ancient duty of fighting evil like a part-time job and initially failing to bond with an Inukami. Athletic, determined, and usually fearless, he also practices xingyiquan and uses frog-shaped rubber talismans for ranged attacks.
Story spoilers
Youko eventually becomes Keita's Inukami. Although his constant flirting causes conflict between them, he promises loyalty to her before their contract is formed and wears a dog's collar as a symbol of that pact.
