Biography
Kazuyoshi Usui, known as Switch, is the Sket Dan's brains and secretary. He communicates through a computer voice synthesizer, pairing a deadpan sense of humor with an apparent enjoyment of teasing others and a love of anime and science; his rivalry with the occult-minded Reiko Yuuki reflects that scientific outlook.
Story spoilers
Switch's refusal to speak may stem from psychological trauma and his belief that something he said contributed to his younger brother's death.
