Character profile
Kazutoshi Gotou
後藤和利Biography
Kazutoshi Gotou is a middle-aged, clumsy workaholic detective who tends to favor action over extended thought. He has known Yakumo for a long time, treats him like family, and turns to him when investigations involve paranormal phenomena. Despite his rough manner, Gotou is kind and can blame himself when a case goes badly.
Story spoilers
Gotou once saved Yakumo from being killed by his mother when Yakumo was a child. In light-novel volume 6, after Isshin's death, Gotou takes Nao in as his own daughter.
