Kanaka

Kanaka is the artificial-intelligence staff carried by Fumika in the anime, where the equivalent staff is called Mayama in the light novels. The staff helps a shigofumi carrier track deliveries, can levitate, and can activate timed programs for effects such as invisibility or flight. Anime Kanaka has a loud, boisterous personality and insists on being treated as a person despite not technically being alive.
