Character profile
Kaguya
かぐやPrincess
Biography
Kaguya is the main antagonist of InuYasha the Movie 2: The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass. She is a so-called fallen angel, though whether she is truly celestial or simply a demon who believes she is remains unclear. Her goal is to obtain the Celestial Robe and its power of immortality after having once been sealed inside a mirror.
Kaguya is associated with the legendary Kaguya-hime of The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter, though the story does not clearly establish whether she truly is that figure.
Story spoilers
Five magical treasures are gathered to free Kaguya from the mirror. During the ensuing conflict she tries to unleash InuYasha's full demon side, but her spell is broken; she ultimately pursues the escaping group before Miroku absorbs her with his Wind Tunnel.
