Jun Aoi

Jun Aoi is the Nadesico's first officer and leaves the Earth's military to join Yurika's crew so he can look after her. He is deeply infatuated with Yurika, although she sees him only as her best friend and remains unaware of his feelings.

A recurring joke has Jun mistaking Yurika's special efforts as being meant for him, only to discover they are actually for Akito.
