Jan Kugo is described as the galaxy's strongest cyborg and is selected to guard the Princess during her mission. His superhuman physique, violent impulses and disdain for authority make him difficult to control.
Story spoilers
Soon after receiving cybernetic enhancements, Jan becomes bored and seeks new amusements, wreaking havoc across the galaxy with the Astrobat. Because of this, Dr. Kitty / the Empress has him imprisoned in an impenetrable dome on the moon. Princess Aurora later frees him to join her mission to the Great King Planet / Dekos star system.
