Izutsumi
イヅツミAsebi (アセビ)
Biography
Izutsumi is a 17-year-old beast-man from the Eastern Archipelago, formerly part of Shuro's party and later a member of Laios's group. Stand-offish and fairly self-centered, she is gradually learning the value of cooperating with others. She is driven by the hope of finding someone who can lift her curse and is both a picky eater and a poor dining companion.
Story spoilers
Izutsumi was born to humans, but a curse fused her body with that of an animal. She was displayed as a circus attraction before Shuro's father bought her to become a retainer. A second curse was later placed on her, involving a knife-wielding spirit that attacks unless its brand is regularly touched by the person who imposed it.
