Ichigo Momomiya
桃宮いちごMew Ichigo / Zoey Hanson
Biography
Ichigo Momomiya begins as an ordinary 12-year-old junior-high student whose date with Masaya changes when her DNA is mysteriously fused with that of an Iriomote wildcat. She becomes the leader of Tokyo Mew Mew, a group of girls carrying endangered-animal DNA who fight Chimera Animas and alien threats. Sweet, bold, hardworking, and devoted to her friends, Ichigo initially wishes she could simply focus on Masaya instead.
Story spoilers
As her cat DNA increasingly overtakes her human DNA, strong excitement or nervousness can give Ichigo cat ears and a tail or even transform her fully into a cat. Masaya believes she has died, but his kiss revives her.
