Hydra is Valkyrie's younger sister, a short-tempered and tomboyish figure who follows her to Earth. Rash and destructive when frustrated, she also takes up kendo while living with Akina.
Story spoilers
After crash-landing at Akina's temple, Hydra has her powers sealed and is reduced to a child's body while retaining her adult mind. Akina can release the seal, restoring Hydra's abilities, which include transforming into a winged pink-and-yellow horse. When Hydra and Akina's friendship breaks down, they can combine into a single person called Akidra.
