Hotaru is a russet-haired woman encountered by a traveling trio while they travel through a forest. After Mugen repairs her broken sandal strap, she draws him toward a nearby shack.
Story spoilers
Hotaru has poisoned Mugen through both his drink and her lipstick using a toxin that becomes deadly with alcohol. She reveals that she works for Ryujiro, who holds the antidote.
