Horus

Horus survives the destruction of his village as a baby when his grandfather escapes with him by boat. He grows up in a rough boat-built home beside the river, surrounded by dangerous animals and shaped by a difficult life. His strength lets him kill the Pike that a group of grown men could not, while his own loneliness helps him understand Hilda's suffering.
