Biography

Honoka Kawai is a quiet girl connected to the brain-colony who enrolls at Surre Academy after Akiha's encounter with Leopard to stay close to her. She calls Akiha “The Girl Who Leapt Through Space” and pilots the QT-Arms Wygar, an old model from the war era. Honoka appears to possess telekinetic powers, with her eyes glowing red when she uses them.

Story spoilers

Those powers appear to result from her nature as an Ex-QT.
