Himawari Shinomiya is one of Akane's classmates, but after a troubling incident she withdrew to her room and stopped attending school. She is a highly capable hacker who loves PCs, machines, and factory landscapes, and she pays little attention to fashion or her appearance.

The incident involved a classmate betraying Himawari after she had promised to help with bullying by hacking a computer so the bullies' names would appear.
