Story spoilers

Hikaru's passion for Go grows as he plays more. His strength includes reading far ahead quickly and using apparently poor moves to lure opponents into traps. He progresses from a school Go club member to an insei and eventually becomes a professional Go player at age 14, one year after Akira.
