Character profile
Hikaru Hitachiin
常陸院光Hika-chan
Biography
Hikaru Hitachiin is a mischievous first-year student and the older of the identical Hitachiin twins. He and Kaoru perform as the Host Club's “little devil” pair, while their strong dependence on each other reflects a childhood in which almost nobody could reliably tell them apart. Haruhi's ability to distinguish them makes her friendship especially important to both twins.
Story spoilers
The twins joined the Host Club after Tamaki repeatedly tried to guess which one was Hikaru. Later in the manga, Hikaru falls in love with Haruhi; after accepting that her feelings are for Tamaki, he encourages her to confess to him.
