Hikaru Genji

Hikaru Genji is a handsome, polished, and popular young nobleman, born to the Emperor and a low-ranking concubine. Although that birth prevents him from inheriting the throne, his father's affection gives him high standing at court. He has loved the Emperor's young consort, Princess Fujitsubo, since childhood and later gains a reputation as a playboy despite an arranged marriage to Lady Aoi.
