Haruka Hasebe is reserved and prefers keeping to herself to avoid unnecessary trouble. She tends to give people nicknames immediately, which Kushida interprets as a way to seem closer to people she does not actually know well.
Story spoilers
In Year 2, Volume 5, Haruka strongly opposes Ayanokoji's attempt to expel her closest friend Airi Sakura but cannot prevent it. She later remains one of four members, and the only girl, in the Ayanokoji Group.
