Character profile
Happy
ハッピーBiography
Happy is a talking magical cat and a main character in Fairy Tail. He can temporarily grow wings and fly while carrying one person, and he is especially close to Natsu before quickly befriending Lucy as well. Cheerful even in dangerous situations, Happy often acts as a relatively level-headed presence when Natsu and Gray clash.
Story spoilers
Happy is later revealed to be an Exceed from Edolas. The apparent mission involving the Dragon Slayers is ultimately shown to be a misunderstanding connected to visions of the future rather than the true reason the Exceed children were sent to Earthland.
