Haohmaru

Haohmaru is a masterless swordsman and one of the central figures of Samurai Shodown. Inspired in part by Miyamoto Musashi and visually modeled after Hyakkimaru from Dororo, he is defined by a strong samurai spirit despite owing allegiance to no lord. Confident and constantly seeking worthy opponents, he travels to sharpen his swordsmanship and pursue enlightenment. Outside battle, he is crude but easygoing and fond of sake and food.

His signature techniques include the crescent-shaped Kougetsu Zan and the whirlwind projectile Senpuu Retsu Zan, and he can also use his sake jug as a weapon or to reflect projectiles.
