Gieve calls himself a musician, but his talents make him closer to a versatile rogue who avoids firm allegiance in the conflicts around him. He can fight with a sword, bow, or lance and claims he can play any instrument in the world. In the OVA, he also addresses the audience when alone, narrating his thoughts directly.
