Character profile
Genzou Hayashi
林源三Biography
Genzou Hayashi is the gruff, rarely smiling owner of the apartment building where the Yamada sisters live. Beneath his forbidding exterior he cares deeply about their welfare and was willing to house them when their father abandoned them, though he still insists on collecting the full rent.
Story spoilers
The sisters apparently remind Genzou of his wife and granddaughter, who died in a truck accident.
