Character profile
Gen Takekura
武蔵厳Musashi (ムサシ) / 60-Yard Magnum
Biography
Gen Takekura, nicknamed Musashi, is the Devil Bats' 17-year-old place kicker and one of the team's original three members. His powerful right leg makes him especially effective on kickoffs, and his older-looking appearance often causes people to mistake him for an adult.
Story spoilers
When his father becomes seriously ill, Musashi leaves school and the team to take over as construction foreman. He later returns to the Devil Bats—during the Seibu game in the manga and the Bando Spiders game in the anime. His famous "60-Yard Magnum" title was actually a bluff invented by Hiruma.
