Gen is an Ayakashi Majiri with enhanced strength and agility, rapid healing, heightened senses and a wolf-man transformation restrained by a special flame tattoo. His distance from others is tied to fear that his powers will make people see him as a monster or hurt them. After he transforms in front of Yoshimori and Tokine and is accepted, he begins to accept himself, but is soon killed in battle by Kaguro.
