Story spoilers
His true designation is Rubedo, an U.R.T.V. created to fight U-DO. His body was modified to retain the appearance of a 12-year-old, and he poses as Gaignun Kukai's adopted son. He can also enter the Red Dragon mode to combat U-DO. A vision of Milta's destruction once broke his spiritual link with the other U.R.T.V.s, contributing to a massacre before Rubedo and Nigredo were rescued.
