Character profile
Fumika
フミカMika
Biography
Fumika appears to be a young girl and works as a mail carrier from the afterlife realm of Shigo, delivering "shigofumi" written by the recently dead to their intended recipients. Calm, monotone, and exceptionally serious about completing her deliveries, she persists even when people dismiss her unusual work.
Story spoilers
Unlike ordinary shigofumi carriers, she ages normally, suggesting that she is still alive and acting through astral projection. Fumika is later revealed to have two identities, Fumi and Mika, linked to abuse from her father Kirameki Mikawa. Mika becomes the shigofumi carrier after shooting Kirameki when he attacks Fumika, while Fumi withdraws into a coma-like state. Mika eventually gains a separate existence through the Gospel Department while waiting for Fumi to return.
