Story spoilers
Emily initially dismisses the amnesiac Ayase Yue, but later recognizes Yue as a magic user at least on her own level after seeing her coordinate a successful fight against a griffin-dragon. During the attack on the Royal Palace at New Ostia, Emily is erased by the Code of the Lifemaker while protecting her comrades. Nodoka later says she may have been sent to Cosmo Entelechaia rather than permanently killed and could potentially be restored with the Great Grandmaster Key.
