Emi Akezawa

Emi Akezawa is Baki Hanma's mother. Her intense love for Yujiro leads her to vow that she will raise Baki into a warrior like him, but that devotion becomes obsessive and leaves her emotionally distant from her son.
Story spoilers
After Yujiro abandons her over Baki's perceived weakness, Emi resents Baki. During Baki's fight with Yujiro, however, she finally risks her life to protect her son and is killed by Yujiro.
