Biography
Edward Mason, or Eddie, is the immature gravedigger who controls floor B4. After reading Rachel's records, he becomes infatuated with her and fixates on giving her a beautiful burial and grave. Raised in a family of graveyard workers, he develops a genuine passion for creating graves, while his inability to truly possess things of his own contributes to an unhealthy attachment to burying them.
Story spoilers
As his abusive older brother's behavior worsens, Eddie eventually kills and buries the family's pets. He later kills a girl of similar age who had fled an abusive foster family, then buries her in a grave he made himself, believing this both frees her from abuse and makes her truly his.
