Edward Elric

Edward Elric is the main character of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and an exceptionally gifted young alchemist. Known as the Fullmetal Alchemist, he became the youngest State Alchemist recognized by the Amestris State Military, receiving the title at age 12. His central goal is restoring his younger brother Alphonse to his original body after a failed human transmutation.

Edward fights with both alchemy and martial skill. His missing right arm and left leg are replaced by automail made by his childhood friend Winry Rockbell, and he can reshape his metal arm into weapons or defenses when needed.
