Biography
Dr. Gero turns himself into a cyborg by transplanting his brain into a robotic body. He first appears alongside Android 19 with the goal of killing Goku.
Story spoilers
After Vegeta destroys Android 19, Gero activates Androids 17 and 18, who immediately rebel; 17 kills him by kicking off and crushing his head. In Dragon Ball GT, Gero later helps Dr. Myu create Super 17, who ultimately kills both of them.
