Diana Barry

Diana Barry is Anne's dearest friend and kindred spirit, becoming her best friend almost immediately after they meet. She is the only girl Anne's age living close to Green Gables. Merry, amiable and pretty, Diana is often puzzled by Anne's extraordinary imagination but has some imagination of her own.
