Danpei Tange

Danpei Tange is Joe's serious, cautious, and responsible mentor, the man who launches him into boxing. A former boxer himself, Danpei turns to coaching after losing sight in one eye, though his intense training methods leave him struggling to keep fighters. Meeting Joe renews his purpose, and he resolves to train him into one of the best boxers in Japan or the world.
