Daizaemon Kaze

Daizaemon Kaze, nicknamed Daichan, is a lively country boy who moves to Tokyo after growing up around many kinds of animals. Music makes him instinctively start dancing, and he comes to the capital to learn judo from a friend of his father.

Daichan befriends the judo master's young daughter Kikuko and the cat Nyanko, both capable instructors in their own ways. Though sometimes clownish, he is popular with those around him and develops toward becoming a future champion.
