Capeta Taira

Capeta Taira is a fourth grader who lost his mother when he was very young and hides his loneliness behind a tough front around his father. His father builds him a racing kart from discarded parts, and despite its bent frame Capeta quickly demonstrates enough skill to keep pace with East Japan junior champion Minamoto Naomi. Watching the chase, Naomi's mother encourages Capeta to enter an official race.
