Binchou-tan

Binchou-tan is a young girl who lives alone in an old house far from town and works to pay for food and everyday necessities. She often wears a piece of charcoal on her head, treasures clothing made by her grandmother, and begins as a lonely person. She can apparently alter her size, sometimes shrinking enough to fit inside a shoe or ride on a duck.
