Story spoilers

Dojo is the officer Iku remembers as her “prince.” Five years earlier, moved by her determination to protect books, he used his authority to recover them, an act that later brought him criticism from his superiors. When Iku applies to the Library Force, he recognizes her and treats her harshly partly because he blames himself for inspiring her to enter a dangerous career. Over time, he becomes kinder toward Iku, and his romantic feelings for her are hinted at.
